About Us

What is the value of human life?

Obviously, human life is different from animal life. In the beginning God created man and woman in His image and likeness, which includes having reason and intellect unlike the animals. Humans make moral choices during the course of life, whereas animals are primarily guided by instinct. The image of God was lost due to the fall into sin. But God rescued His creation by becoming human through Jesus Christ. As the Son of God, he took upon himself the wrath of God, making complete payment for all our sin through his death by crucifixion on the cross once and for all. By Jesus Christ’s resurrection on the third day, He won the victory over death and brought humanity back into favor with God. It is for this reason that human life has special value.
It is reasonable that the child in the womb is also valuable to God because God was intimately involved in the creation of that child, and the birth of a child is a gift.
  • Psalm 127:3 (English Standard Version) – Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
  • Psalm 139:13-14 (English Standard Version) – For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Jesus Christ died for every human life. God is at work in us through the Holy Spirit and our body is His temple. We are valuable to God. You are valuable to God. Jesus Christ died and rose again for YOU. Being valued by God means He loves YOU:
  • Matthew 10:29-31 (English Standard Version) –  Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
God knows every child who was aborted. God knows every person abused and suffering. Jesus Christ knows every ONE of us, and He gave us a new commandment:
  • John 13:34 (English Standard Version) – A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
It is in this love of Christ that we stand and pray for LIFE not to be taken by elective abortion. It is why we march at the Capitol to be the voice of the powerless to those in power. It is why we defend the small child from being lured into sexualization before maturity. It is why we help parents to protect the innocence of their children while they develop physically and mentally toward adulthood. It is why we support the women who seek help at crisis pregnancy centers. It is why we counsel the lonely and depressed. And it is why we sit at the bedside of the dying, caring for their needs until the blessed end.
PRO-LIFE is from womb to tomb.
